We need your help in our distribution center! Distribution center volunteers help ensure we have enough food for families in need. Volunteers are tasked with helping with the following projects:
BackPack Program
Volunteers will pack sacks of food for children in Sioux Falls. The BackPack Program supports over 1,500 children in the Sioux Falls area during the summer months, and we need your help to ensure no child goes hungry in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Work will include packing food into bags for distribution to children in the community.
Support/Training:
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early and wear comfortable clothing in layers and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes. Volunteers will be given instructions and training upon arrival and will have staff support and supervision throughout their shift.
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand and walk for 2 hours at a time
- Ability to lift 5 to 30 pounds

- A waiver must be submitted prior to volunteering. Any volunteers under 18 years old MUST have parent signature on waiver prior to volunteering.
Age Requirements:
This position will be working in a warehousing facility alongside forklift traffic. For safety reasons, all volunteers must be 11 years or older. Volunteers under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
