Our Cleanroom allows us to individually package bulk foods without the risk or fear of cross-contamination. Help the fight against food insecurity by assisting Feeding South Dakota staff with cleaning and sanitizing our Cleanroom between products.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Volunteer you will help to ensure the Cleanroom and its contents are clean and sanitized.
Materials that volunteers will be asked to clean include, but are not limited to:
- Tables
- Walls
- Ceiling
- Floor
Support/Training:
- Volunteers are welcome to bring earbuds and listen to music/podcasts during their shift, as long as it doesn't interfere with their safety.
- Volunteers will be given instructions upon arrival and will have staff support throughout their shift.
- Volunteers will be given a “checklist” and tools to properly clean and sanitize the room.
- Please arrive 5-10 minutes early, wear comfortable clothing in layers, and shoes that have good grip.
Qualifications:
- Ability to crouch and stand for 2-3 hours at a time
- Have attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
Age Requirements:
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
