Sort Room / Warehouse - Sioux Falls
Assist in the Sort Room / warehouse with picking school pantry orders from our food inventory.
Help feed kids in Sioux Falls! School Pantries are a resource for children and their families. Each week, our 4 school pantry locations as well as our Sanford Children's Wellness Pantry request food to restock their supply. Come alone, or bring a friend and work as a team. You will be filling boxes with assorted food, recording their weight, and following guidelines provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work around forklifts and potentially use a pallet jack
- Will need to work independently
- Can stand, bend, and lift for 4 hours
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. periodically
Support/Training:
Please arrive 10 minutes early and wear comfortable clothing in layers and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes. Volunteers will be given instructions and training upon arrival. Volunteers will be expected to work independently.
Age Requirements:
This position will be working independently in a warehousing facility alongside forklift traffic and must be 18 years of age.
