SIMC Mobile Guest Training Session

Description

Feeding South Dakota is implementing a new system to check in Neighbors at all of our Mobile Distributions. This training session is open to any volunteer and will walk through the basics of using Service Insights on MealConnect (SIMC) at our Mobile Distributions.

This training will cover:

  • What SIMC is and why we are using it
    • Overview of the system and how it replaces current check-in processes
  • Location login setup and login process
    • How to access SIMC and log in using site accounts
  • Navigating the SIMC site
    • Where to find key areas and how to move through the system
  • Event setup and eligibility behavior
    • Event selection and how events work for TEFAP and NO TEFAP neighbors
  • Adding a new household
    • How to follow the intake script and enter required information
  • Searching for a household and adding a visit
    • How to search properly and avoid creating duplicates
  • Barcodes / QR codes
    • How to use barcodes or QR codes for check-in
  • Proxy check-ins
    • How to enter household details when the neighbor is not present
  • Common mistakes to avoid
    • Key things that cause issues during intake and how to prevent them

This training will be recorded for anyone who is unable to attend.

Additional resources and support will be available during each distribution as we roll this out over the next few months.
