Dr. King showed us the power of kindness and community. This Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Feeding South Dakota is inviting families to honor his legacy through service and teamwork.
We're excited to offer parents/caregivers and their children an opportunity to volunteer together as a community and generate awareness of the issue of hunger.
What: Parents/guardians and children ages 5 and up will help pack food for South Dakota families.
When: Monday, January 19, 2026
- 9:00-11:00AM
- 1:00-3:00PM
- 5:00-7:00PM

How to Sign Up as a Team:
1. Click “Respond as a Team.”
2. Create a team name and click “Create Team.”
3. Add the parent/guardian’s info and reserve spots for your children.
4. Click “Submit Member” and add each child’s details.
Helpful Tips: Arrive at least 5 minutes early. Wear comfortable, layered clothes and fully-enclosed shoes (required for safety). Staff will provide training and support during your shift.
