In October 1995, the potato became the first vegetable to be grown in space. Now, potatoes are grown in each state of the USA, and in about 125 countries!
Potatoes are packed with nutrients - fiber, Vitamin C, niacin, potassium, and even 3 grams of protein per spud. We need your help to bag these nutritious potatoes and get them into the homes of South Dakotans who need them.
