Key Responsibilities:
Get ready to spread some holiday cheer! Volunteers will be assisting with our Turkey Giveaway, taking place from 8am to 10am on Saturday, November 23rd. Be sure to dress warmly, as this event will be held outdoors, rain, snow, or shine and we never know what the weather will decide to do!
Your tasks may include:
- Directing traffic and warmly welcoming everyone
- Distributing tickets to guests receiving meals
- Loading food into vehicles and sending everyone off with a friendly farewell
Support/Training:
You’ll receive instructions and training upon arrival, along with staff support throughout your shift. If you’re working near traffic, we’ll provide additional safety gear!
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand and walk for 1-2 hours
- For some roles, the ability to lift between 5 to 30 pounds
- Work outdoors in winter weather—so bundle up! Water and coffee will be provided to keep you energized!
Age Requirements:
Since this role involves working outdoors in a parking lot with vehicle traffic, all volunteers must be 11 years or older. Volunteers aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
