NOTE: This opportunity is NOT at the Feeding South Dakota warehouse on N. Westport Ave. You will need to go to the site of the Haunted Drive Through - located at Schulte Subaru on 7601 South Minnesota Ave. Volunteers will report to the Feeding South Dakota tent near the front of the drive through.
Schulte Subaru is hosting their 3rd Haunted Drive Through on Saturday, October 22nd from 5-11pm. Last year, this event had nearly 500 cars attend and they anticipate just as big if not bigger this year. Volunteers will be in one of the very first tents, so every car driving through will have the opportunity to donate.
While the event is free for the public to attend, Schulte Subaru will be accepting free-will donations for Feeding South Dakota, and a portion of proceeds from the food available for purchase. We are requesting volunteers to take the free-will donations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Volunteers will accept cash and card donations for Feeding South Dakota
- Greet guests with a smile
- Sit outside for 2 hours
Support/Training:
Please plan for inclement weather. We encourage you to dress in layers and wear comfortable clothing including closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.
Upon your arrival, you will check in and be given further instruction. Volunteers should be able to:
- Work will be outdoors in winter weather. Please dress accordingly to stay warm.
Age Requirements:
This position will be working outdoors in a parking lot around vehicle traffic. For safety reasons, all volunteers must be 11 years or older. Volunteers under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Health/Safety:
At Feeding South Dakota, there is no higher priority than the safety of our volunteers and the people we serve. We strive to maintain clean facilities and follow best practices for food safety. This activity does include some risk to you. Liability and privacy waivers are required to complete before serving.
