Welcome to Feeding South Dakota's volunteer site!
We are so excited to provide a way for you to find and sign up for opportunities, gather friends and coworkers to volunteer as teams, check in at our volunteer locations and track hours.
Individual volunteers: Search for shifts that interest you by location, the calendar (in the top navigation), or through the opportunities page.
Then just click the "RESPOND" button and select your shift(s), or scroll down to the shift listing and click the "RESPOND INDIVIDUALLY" next to the shift(s) for which you want to sign up. You will need to create an account if you do not already have one.

Group volunteers: Group leaders/facilitators should respond as a team using the below instructions. Log in and find an available opportunity by location, the calendar (in the top gray navigation bar), or through the opportunities page. PLEASE NOTE: Each team member must have an up-to-date profile and have e-signed the liability waiver before they can be added to a team.
- Click "RESPOND AS A TEAM" button.
- Give your team a name and click "CREATE TEAM".
- Click "ADD TEAM MEMBER" button, enter information for the team leader, select the number of additional slots you want to reserve for your team.
- Click "SUBMIT MEMBER"; next add each additional member; OR
- Send your fellow volunteers a link to join the team by clicking on the "COPY JOIN LINK" button and inserting the link into an email.

Some answers to questions about signing up and responding to volunteer opportunities:
Do I need an account to respond to opportunities/sign up for shifts?
Yes, you must be logged in with an existing account to respond to an opportunity. If you try to respond but are not logged in, you'll see a pop-up that gives you the option of logging in or, if you do not already have an account, creating an account.
Once you are logged in to your account, you'll be returned to the opportunity information page to complete your response.
Can you change my password?
If you forget your password, no worries! You can click the Forgot Password link on the login page. From there, you will be asked to enter your email address, and the system will send you a password reset link.
What does it mean to become a fan of a location?
A volunteer can follow Feeding South Dakota's volunteer opportunities by location by becoming a fan of that location - if you live in Rapid City, for example, you may want to become a fan of the Rapid City location.
When you fan a location, you’ll be notified every time that location posts a new volunteer opportunity on the site.
